What is Mailions?
Mailions provides custom domain mailboxes, private browser webmail, a transactional sending API and public temporary inboxes. Manage domains, authentication records and sending activity from the panel. Explore all features and access options.
Do I need my own domain?
For private mailboxes and API sending, connect a domain you own at any DNS provider. Public temporary inboxes use the service domain: choose a name or generate an address without bringing a domain or creating an account.
How do I send OTP codes or verification emails from my own domain?
Add your domain, publish the DNS records, then create an API key and send each email with one HTTPS request. The email API guide has copy-paste examples for Node.js, PHP, Python and cURL.
Can I use my domain email with Gmail, Outlook or my phone?
Yes. Every mailbox works over IMAP (port 993) and SMTP (port 587) in Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird and the Gmail app, and Gmail on the web can send as your address. See the mailbox setup guide, including step-by-step Gmail setup.
Can I send email from WordPress, Laravel or PHP?
Yes. Any platform that supports SMTP works: WordPress with the WP Mail SMTP plugin, Laravel, PHPMailer, Nodemailer and Python. You can also use the HTTP sending API instead of SMTP.
What happens after my 100 free API recipients?
Sending pauses until the 1st of next month (the API answers with monthly_limit_reached, so your website can show a friendly message). Need more now? Contact us and we'll raise your limit. Each distinct To, CC or BCC recipient per request uses one unit. This allowance covers API sending; mailbox SMTP is separate. There are never surprise charges.
Will this hurt my domain's deliverability?
We help you configure DKIM, SPF and DMARC. Authentication supports deliverability, but inbox placement also depends on sender reputation, message content and recipient feedback; it is not guaranteed.
Can I use my own mail server instead?
This service is for people who'd rather not run and maintain their own mail server. If you already run one, that's essentially what we're doing for you, managed.
Can I read my private mailbox in the browser?
Yes. Open webmail with your mailbox address and password, or open your own mailbox from the panel. Search, reply, forward, save drafts, add a signature and use bulk message actions. Webmail currently composes plain-text messages.
How long does a temporary email address last?
On free inboxes each message is deleted 30 minutes after it arrives, and any address can be used again. Anyone who knows an address can read it without logging in. Contact us for permanent paid retention; sign in before creating an address to apply approved paid access. Temporary inboxes remain public and receive-only.
Are attachments included for free?
Webmail attachment sending is disabled by default. Contact us to discuss paid attachment access for a mailbox. Limits and file safety checks still apply after approval. Received attachments in private webmail can be downloaded subject to safety checks; public temporary inboxes have no attachment downloads.
Can I use aliases, forwarding, filters and auto-replies?
Domain owners can manage aliases and incoming-mail forwarding. Webmail settings offer filters and scheduled out-of-office replies when delivery rules are configured for the service. Read the mailbox guide for details.
